Please act responsibly. Maintain physical distancing from staff and other customers, use hand sanitizer and have a mask available for use when covid restrictions apply. If you have any Covid symptoms, or have been exposed to someone who has symptoms, do not visit us at this time. If we feel people are not acting responsibly we will eliminate kayak rentals during the pandemic.
COVID related guidelines have been integrated into our procedures:
Hand Sanitizing and Equipment disinfecting protocol is in place, staff will review the procedure with you when you check in for the rent
Price includes paddles and lifejackets (PFD). We do encourage you to bring your own if possible.

Equipment: Our kayaks are a standard 11’-1” polycarbonate with 2 seats and 7’-9” for Single seat. Double Seat Kayaks can fit 2 adults and 2 small children no more than 400lbs combined weight and Single Seat kayak 1 adult no more than 400lbs.
You may take a maximum of 2 people and paddles and PFD's for those 2 people (not rotating various people in and out of the boat).
To prevent capsizing, ensure proper balance in the boat by distributing weight evenly.
Safety Notes: Yes – kayaks do tip over. If you are not prepared for this to happen you should not go out. Windy conditions are also a factor, making it easier to tip. All paddlers must be confident they can swim if the kayak does tip over and takes full responsibility if a kayak is lost and must replace it with or without damage insurance.
Clothing suggestions: We suggest you wear clothing that is not restrictive in case you do get wet.
With only 5 double seat and 2 single seat kayaks, You can book ahead for those very warm, sunny weekend afternoons for better chance on availability if wanted. Also required lifejackets (PFD) to be worn at all times while on the water.
